Sounds at the Station was a live event night as a part of the larger project SIM at the Station, a partnership between the Studio for Interrelated Media Department of MassArt and The Station in the Fenway. The open lot in the Fenway neighborhood was transformed into a gallery space for a variety of interdisciplinary artists showcasing their sculpture, installation, video, and performance work. Sounds at the Station took place on October 31st, 2023, where a lineup of bands, dancers, drag, and video artists shared their art with the community. Gates were wide open for those to come in, intrigued by the massive projections of Kyra Stupik on a double stack of shipping containers that served as the backdrop to the show. Producing this show meant directing and designing a space for performers and the tech team to work best together and illuminate the space with light and sound efficiently.Performances by: Mollie Guac & Nandana Venkatesan, Reid Duran, Mondos, Zac Rea, Veronica Labanca, Roaches!
